Choose a point you can describe in one sentence
A useful meeting point has a name, a clear side of the grounds and a time window. “In front of the Bavaria at 18:30” is better than “somewhere outside the tents”. If the chosen point becomes too crowded or inaccessible, your backup should be one other named landmark, not a list of possibilities.
Save the plan in each person’s phone and tell anyone who might arrive later. Do not rely on a single group chat, one battery or the assumption that a tent entrance will remain open.
When phones stop helping
Move to the plan instead of walking in circles
Noise, weak signal and a moving crowd make live location sharing unreliable. Go to the agreed point, wait for the agreed window and then use the backup. A short route and a clear time are easier to follow than dozens of messages.
Keep valuables and essential medication with you. If someone is lost, injured, very young or too impaired to make decisions, involve festival staff early rather than treating it as a normal missed message.

The official visitor information lists the Theresienwiese Service Center as a place for police, first aid, festival management and children’s lost-and-found support. Women and girls who feel unsafe or lose contact with their group can also use the Safe Space behind Schottenhamel.
When you ask for help, describe the person, their last known location, clothing and any medical concern. Do not publish a photo of a vulnerable person or encourage strangers to film them.
