A ticket is not required for the main festival
You do not pay an admission fee to enter the main festival grounds or the beer tents. That does not include purchases once inside: food, beer, soft drinks, rides and souvenirs are extra. For 2026, the official price list puts a litre of Oktoberfest beer between €14.80 and €15.90, depending on the tent.
The separate Oide Wiesn section has a €4 adult entrance fee in 2026; children up to 14 enter free. Its historic rides have separate prices. Individual food dishes and rides vary, so check the live vendor listing or posted menu instead of trusting an old price roundup.

Start with the number of meals and drinks you actually plan to buy, then add any rides, the Oide Wiesn, souvenirs and your MVV transport. Check payment options for your tent before you go: the festival’s official FAQ says card acceptance varies, and some large tents are cash-only.
